Minden 05 fue un club deportivo de Minden. El primer equipo de fútbol jugó cinco años en la entonces liga regional de tercer nivel, la Verbandsliga Westfalen.
El 15 de mayo de 1905 se fundó el primer club de fútbol de la ciudad, el FC Westfalia Minden. En el mismo año, siguió el FC Viktoria Minden, que en 1909 se fusionó con Westfalia para formar el Mindener Sport Club. Dos años después, el Mindener SC se fusionó con la sección de juegos del TV Jahn Minden para formar el Mindener Spielverein 05. En 1910, además, se fundaron los clubes BV Fortuna Minden y Wacker Minden, que se unieron tras la Primera Guerra Mundial para formar la spVgg Fortuna-Wacker Minden. Finalmente, en 1925, el club de juegos y Fortuna-Wacker se fusionaron para formar la Mindener Spielvereinigung 05.
