El Suttensee es un lago en las montañas de Mangfall. Se encuentra en el extremo superior del valle de Rottach, 4.4 km por encima del centro del pueblo en el área del municipio de Rottach-Egern. Una parte del antiguo lago se ha convertido en un pantano alto. Al oeste del valle se elevan el Risserkogel y el Blankenstein, al este el Bodenschneid y el Roßkopf. El valle se denomina área de Sutten, al noreste se encuentran las cumbres de las Almen de Sutten.
El valle y el lago se accesan a través de la carretera de peaje de Enterrottach hacia la casa forestal de Valepp, pasando por el paso de Wechsel, que se encuentra justo al sur del lago. Durante todo el año, el valle de Sutten es muy utilizado turísticamente debido a la Moni-Alm y la granja de montaña Sutten, un telesilla va del área de Sutten al Stümpfling con conexión al lago Spitzing. En invierno, forma parte de la zona de esquí de Spitzingsee con varias bajadas hacia el valle del Suttensee. Además, se mantiene una pista de esquí de fondo en el lago.
