El Museo Marítimo Alemán en Wilhelmshaven presenta el desarrollo de la navegación militar alemana desde 1848. El enfoque del museo está en la representación de la Bundesmarine/Marina Alemana. Existe desde 1998 y se encuentra bajo gestión privada.
El museo está ubicado entre el puerto de conexión y el paseo marítimo de Südstrand, muy cerca del símbolo de la ciudad de Wilhelmshaven, el puente Kaiser-Wilhelm. El museo ocupa el edificio de la antigua "Scheibenhofwerkstatt" en Südstrand 125. La Scheibenhofwerkstatt es un remanente protegido como monumento del patio de torpedos construido alrededor de 1888 en el astillero imperial. Adjunto al museo hay un área externa de aproximadamente 3000 m² con lugares de amarre directamente en el puerto de conexión.
