El Gymnasium Helmholtz de Bonn es un gimnasio público con una rama bilingüe en alemán-inglés y una rama de ciencias naturales en Bonn-Duisdorf.
El Gymnasium Helmholtz fue inaugurado en 1961 bajo la dirección de Wilhelm Schüttler como un gimnasio de la oficina de Duisdorf. Un año después, se le dio oficialmente el nombre de Hermann von Helmholtz. El edificio escolar fue diseñado por el arquitecto de Düsseldorf Bruno Lambart, y la planificación de las áreas verdes y deportivas estuvo a cargo de la oficina del jardinero paisajista de Bonn Heinrich Raderschall. La escuela fue decisivamente influenciada entre 1976 y 1990 por su director Leo Klingen. Desde el año escolar 2000/2001, en su honor, se otorga el Premio Dr. Leo Klingen a los alumnos que se han destacado especialmente por sus logros académicos o su compromiso social, además del Abitur. Desde 1990 hasta 2012, el gimnasio fue dirigido por Martin Berg. Desde 2013, Dorothee von Hoerschelmann es la directora.
