Het Helmholtz-Gymnasium Bonn is een openbare middelbare school met een Duits-Engelstalige opleiding en een natuurwetenschappelijke richting in Bonn-Duisdorf.
Het Helmholtz-Gymnasium werd in 1961 onder leiding van Wilhelm Schüttler geopend als middelbare school van het Amt Duisdorf. Een jaar later werd het officieel vernoemd naar Hermann von Helmholtz. Het schoolgebouw is ontstaan naar een ontwerp van de Düsseldorfse architect Bruno Lambart, de inrichting van de groen- en sportfaciliteiten werd verzorgd door het bureau van de Bonnse tuinarchitect Heinrich Raderschall. De school werd bepalend gevormd in de jaren 1976 tot 1990 door haar directeur Leo Klingen. Sinds het schooljaar 2000/2001 wordt ter ere van hem, naast het eindexamen, de Dr.-Leo-Klingen-prijs uitgereikt aan leerlingen die zich bijzonder hebben onderscheiden door academische prestaties of sociaal engagement. Van 1990 tot 2012 werd de middelbare school geleid door Martin Berg. Sinds 2013 is Dorothee von Hoerschelmann directeur.
