La reserva natural de Hunstein, con una superficie de 11,76 ha, se encuentra al sur de Calle, en el área urbana de Meschede. El área fue designada como reserva natural en 1994 por el consejo del distrito de Hochsauerland con el plan de paisaje de Meschede, con una superficie de 7,3 ha. En la nueva formulación del plan de paisaje de Meschede, la reserva natural fue nuevamente designada y ampliada significativamente.
