Rotberg es una parte del municipio de Waltersdorf en el municipio de Schönefeld, en el distrito de Dahme-Spreewald. El antiguo municipio independiente se encuentra al sur de Berlín, cerca del aeropuerto de Berlín-Schönefeld en el estado de Brandeburgo.
En 1316, el lugar fundado por colonos alemanes, Rotberg, fue mencionado por primera vez en documentos como Rodeses. Probablemente, debido a la forma en eslava del nombre, ya había un asentamiento wendo antes. El nombre del lugar puede derivar de la palabra alemana para deforestación, así como del eslavo "rot", que significa terreno húmedo.
