Bergheide fue una aldea en el antiguo distrito de Finsterwalde, situada al sureste de Finsterwalde y al norte de Lauchhammer. La localidad se encontraba en una meseta boscosa y, con una altitud de hasta 166 m sobre el nivel del mar, era el lugar más elevado en el antiguo distrito de Finsterwalde. Las comunidades vecinas eran al este Sallgast, al norte Lichterfeld, al oeste Sorno y al sur Kostebrau y Lauchhammer.
Las partes de la aldea de Bergheide eran Kleine Mühle, Haide-Mühle, Gohraer Pechhütte, Lichterfelder Pechhütte, Forsthaus Gohra.
