Bergheide era un villaggio nel ex distretto di Finsterwalde, situato a sud-est di Finsterwalde e a nord di Lauchhammer. Il paese si trovava su un altopiano boschivo e con un'altitudine di fino a 166 m s.l.m. era il luogo più elevato dell'ex distretto di Finsterwalde. I comuni limitrofi erano a est Sallgast, a nord Lichterfeld, a ovest Sorno e a sud Kostebrau e Lauchhammer.
