El Katschhof es una plaza pública ubicada en el centro de la ciudad de Aquisgrán. El nombre se deriva de Kaxhoff, más tarde Kackshoff o Katzhoff, y es una indicación de la ubicación de la antigua picota. Entre 1847 y 1902, el Katschhof fue llamado en honor al alcalde de Aquisgrán, Gerhard Chorus, Chorusplatz, después de lo cual la plaza recuperó su antiguo nombre histórico y la calle que lleva a ella mantuvo el nombre de Ritter-Chorus-Straße. Debido a su ubicación entre la catedral de Aquisgrán y el ayuntamiento de Aquisgrán, así como a la edificación modelada según un plan medieval, irradia un ambiente especial. Grandes eventos como conciertos, mercados semanales, festivales y el mercado navideño de Aquisgrán tienen lugar aquí.
