Hohenwutzen es una aldea de la llamada isla de Neuenhagen en el municipio de Märkisch-Oderland. Desde la incorporación en el año 2003, Hohenwutzen es un distrito de Bad Freienwalde.
Hohenwutzen se encuentra junto con las aldeas de Altglietzen, Bralitz, Neuenhagen y Schiffmühle en la isla de Neuenhagen, al norte de Oderbruch. Hohenwutzen se sitúa en la carretera federal 158a y es un punto de cruce fronterizo hacia Polonia. La localidad polaca vecina, separada por la frontera Oder-Neisse, es Osinów Dolny. Hohenwutzen se ha unido con Neuglietzen, que se encuentra al sur de la localidad.
