El castillo de Barby es un complejo palaciego barroco en Barby, una ciudad en el distrito de Salzland en Sachsen-Anhalt, cuyos orígenes se remontan a una fortaleza fronteriza del siglo X y que ha servido como residencia desde el siglo XVII. Desde el siglo XVIII hasta el XX, se utilizó como institución educativa y alberga desde 1979 el archivo de registro de Sachsen-Anhalt.
Los inicios del castillo se remontan al siglo X. En un documento del rey Otto I de 961, en el que le otorgó a su hermana Matilde, abadesa de Quedlinburg, Barby, se menciona por primera vez una fortaleza fronteriza en el lugar. La abadesa de Quedlinburg le otorgó a la nobleza de Barby el castillo.
