Schalbruch es un lugar en el municipio alemán de Selfkant, en el estado de Renania del Norte-Westfalia. Es una conocida aldea callejera y se encuentra en la parte norte del municipio de Selfkant, cerca de la frontera entre los Países Bajos y Alemania. Cerca se encuentra el área natural de Hohbruch.
La primera mención del nombre, Schaltbroich, data de 1558. El significado del nombre es probablemente "pantano donde se pelaba la corteza". Schaltbruch pertenecía al Ducado de Gulik. El bosque pantanoso adyacente era el límite entre los señoríos de Valkenburg y Millen. En 1828, Schalbruch tenía 320 habitantes y pertenecía al municipio de Havert. Desde el 23 de abril de 1949 hasta el 31 de julio de 1963, Selfkant y, por lo tanto, también Schalbruch estaban bajo administración neerlandesa.
