El mapa se encuentra en el centro de un parque donde también puedes hacer un picnic y disfrutar de una taza de café y pasteles después de tu aventura. Esta increíble atracción es obra de un hombre, Søren Poulsen, quien construyó el mapa utilizando herramientas manuales rudimentarias, una carretilla y un carro de mano. Las islas fueron construidas sobre un estanque con tierra y piedra. Su idea para el mapa surgió después de notar una piedra en su propiedad que tenía forma de península de Jutlandia. Poulsen comenzó el proyecto en 1944 y trabajó en él durante 25 años hasta su muerte en 1969. Aproximadamente 35,000 personas visitan la atracción cada año.
