De kaart bevindt zich in het midden van een park waar je ook kunt picknicken en na je avontuur kunt genieten van een kopje koffie en gebak. Deze bijzondere attractie is het werk van één man, Søren Poulsen, die de kaart bouwde met eenvoudige handgereedschappen, een kruiwagen en een duwkar. De eilanden werden gebouwd op een vijver met aarde en stenen. Zijn idee voor de kaart ontstond nadat hij op zijn terrein een steen zag die de vorm had van het schiereiland Jutland. Poulsen begon in 1944 aan het project en werkte er 25 jaar aan, tot zijn dood in 1969. De attractie trekt jaarlijks ongeveer 35.000 bezoekers.
