La Plaza de toros de Tarragona, hoy conocida como "Tarraco Arena Plaça", es un edificio histórico de estilo modernista construido por el arquitecto local Ramón Salas Ricomá y que está considerada como una de las primeras muestras del Modernismo en la provincia de Tarragona.[1]
El inmueble ocupó su uso primigenio hasta el año 2006 cuando la reforma iniciada por la Diputación de Tarragona, propietaria del edificio, imposibilitó que se siguieran celebrando festejos taurinos en su interior, amparados en la legislación aplicable en Cataluña.
