El Coll de Rates conecta Parcent con Tàrbena a través de la Sierra del Carrascar de Parcent.
El colbord se encuentra a una altitud de 626 metros. En la parte superior (e inferior de Parcent) hay un Stoppomat, que te permite registrar tu tiempo de escalada. Lo que muchos no saben es que se puede desviar en la parte superior de la carretera principal y subir a las antenas que están unos 300 metros más arriba. Primero se obtienen unos 250 metros de camino sin asfaltar. Luego llegarás a la cima a través de un camino de hormigón. El tramo hasta las antenas es también el más empinado de toda la subida.
