Se trata de un parque que cuenta con árboles centenarios, como cedros del Líbano, áreas de césped, una zona de juegos y un tiovivo para los más pequeños.
Se encuentra cerca del parque de exposiciones de Pau.
La Villa Lawrance está erigida en el corazón del parque, con un estilo flamenco y germánico y fue construida por la familia Schlumberger, de origen alsaciano.
En 1893, la villa pasó a ser propiedad de la poderosa familia Lawrance, que ya estaba cómodamente instalada en la ciudad, en la actual sede del Banco de Francia.
Comprada por la ciudad de Pau, albergó durante varios años la presidencia de la Universidad.
Desde 2002 es la sede del Cercle Anglais, que ha instalado allí sus colecciones.
La Villa Lawrance también alberga el Museo de la Resistencia, que abre los miércoles por la tarde.
