Dominando el pueblo de Domremy-la-Pucelle, la Basílica Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc (o Basílica du bois chenu) es el imponente monumento al reconocimiento nacional de la heroína.

Construida por el arquitecto Paul Sédille tras la colocación de la primera piedra en 1881, se alza en el mismo lugar donde se dice que Jeanne oyó sus voces. Comenzará su visita por la cripta "Notre-Dame des Armées", inaugurada en 1891.

A continuación, un imprescindible pasadizo conduce a la iglesia superior: la impresionante Escalera de la Paz, inaugurada en 1946 y decorada con los escudos de armas de las ciudades jalonadas por el paso de Juana. En el interior de la basílica, maravíllese ante la rica decoración de grandes mosaicos y pinturas monumentales de Lionel Royer que relatan la epopeya de La Pucelle.
