La plaza Sainte-Croix es el punto más alto de la ciudad (189 m). La plaza está bordeada por varias casas góticas construidas entre los siglos XIII y XV. La plaza alberga el Hôtel de la Bulette (siglo XIV), cuyo nombre hace referencia al derecho a recaudar ciertos impuestos sobre la propiedad terrestre, y que conserva dos torres de vigilancia con ménsulas y almenas. Fue transformado en prisión en el siglo XVI, en escuela normal femenina en el siglo XIX y, más tarde, en maternidad.
