Place Sainte-Croix è il punto più alto della città (189 m). La piazza è fiancheggiata da numerose case gotiche costruite tra il XIII e il XV secolo. Nella piazza si trova l'Hôtel de la Bulette (XIV secolo), il cui nome si riferisce al diritto di riscuotere alcune tasse sulle proprietà terriere, e che conserva ancora due torri di guardia a mensole e merlature. Nel XVI secolo fu trasformato in una prigione, nel XIX secolo in un collegio femminile per insegnanti e successivamente in un ospedale materno.
