Place Sainte-Croix is het hoogste punt van de stad (189 m). Op het plein staan verschillende gotische huizen die tussen de 13e en 15e eeuw werden gebouwd. Op het plein staat het Hôtel de la Bulette (14e eeuw), waarvan de naam verwijst naar het recht om bepaalde belastingen te innen op landeigendom, en dat nog steeds twee gekorniste wachttorens en kantelen heeft. Het werd in de 16e eeuw omgebouwd tot gevangenis, in de 19e eeuw tot een lerarenopleiding voor meisjes en later tot een kraamkliniek.
