Instalado en la antigua iglesia del Convento de las Damas Agustinas desde 1801 gracias al empresario Flamérion que, para la ocasión, cortó la iglesia en dos niveles separados.

Las sillas del presidente y de los jueces, que datan de principios del siglo XIX, están catalogadas como Monumentos Históricos. Neufchâteau es una de las cortes que ha podido conservar su mobiliario

El tribunal cerró oficialmente sus puertas el 1 de enero de 2010.

Nota: fue en diciembre de 1801 cuando probablemente se celebró el primer juicio. En este tribunal se han celebrado algo más de dos siglos de juicios

Este edificio sólo está abierto durante las visitas guiadas (excepto durante el fin de semana de las Jornadas del Patrimonio) organizadas por la Oficina de Turismo de los Vosgos Occidentales.
