En 1741 se descubrió un filón de carbón en Littry, preludio de 200 años de intensa actividad industrial en este tranquilo pueblo. El Museo de la Mina, que se renovará por completo en 2021, cuenta la historia de esta actividad minera: herramientas antiguas, la bomba de incendios de los hermanos Périer (1800), única en su género en Francia, la reconstrucción de una galería de mina, una maqueta del pozo nº 5 de Bruay, excavaciones arqueológicas...
