El museo se encuentra en el Templo Protestante. Paneles explicativos, vitrinas y un montaje de vídeo cuentan la historia de la comunidad protestante de Wassy, así como las guerras de religión nacionales.
En el siglo XVI se produjeron enfrentamientos entre católicos y protestantes. El 1 de marzo de 1562, la masacre de los protestantes de Wassy a manos de los soldados del duque de Guisa, líder de los católicos, fue el desencadenante de las Guerras de Religión que dividieron a Francia hasta el Edicto de Nantes de 1598.
