Het museum is gevestigd in de protestantse tempel. Verklarende panelen, vitrines en een video tonen de geschiedenis van de protestantse gemeenschap van Wassy en de nationale godsdienstoorlogen.
In de 16e eeuw waren er botsingen tussen katholieken en protestanten. Op 1 maart 1562 leidde de afslachting van protestanten in Wassy door de soldaten van de hertog van Guise, leider van de katholieken, tot de godsdienstoorlogen die Frankrijk verdeelden tot het Edict van Nantes in 1598.
