En 1734, apenas quedaba nada del "chastel" medieval, que ya había sido parcialmente demolido en 1671 por orden de Luis XIV. Jean-Antoine d'Eltz hizo construir un castillo, que más tarde pasó a su hermano Philippe-Antoine y luego a su sobrino Philippe-Charles d'Hunolstein, que lo dejó parcialmente desocupado. Lo que quedó del castillo tras el incendio de 1792 fue demolido en 1810.
Una gran torre, vestigio del castillo medieval, sigue siendo visible hoy en día. El único vestigio del castillo del siglo XVIII es el edificio de la servidumbre con decoración de ventanas ornamentales.
