Nel 1734 non rimaneva quasi nulla del "chastel" medievale, che era già stato parzialmente demolito nel 1671 per ordine di Luigi XIV. Jean-Antoine d'Eltz fece costruire un castello, che passò poi al fratello Philippe-Antoine e quindi al nipote Philippe-Charles d'Hunolstein, che lo lasciò in parte disabitato. Ciò che rimaneva del castello dopo l'incendio del 1792 fu demolito nel 1810.
Una grande torre, residuo del castello medievale, è ancora oggi visibile. L'unico resto del castello del XVIII secolo è l'edificio della servitù con le decorazioni delle finestre.
