Creación de piezas utilitarias y decorativas en Raku. El objetivo es resaltar el contraste entre la arcilla vidriada y la arcilla ahumada. Para conseguirlo, Renaud Chatenet decora meticulosamente sus piezas con texturas que yuxtaponen zonas lisas. Utiliza dos esmaltes diferentes: una base transparente que da el blanco craquelado típico del Raku y un esmalte de óxido de cobre que da reflejos que van del verde al cobre y a veces los colores del "arco iris"
