Situado en el antiguo cuerpo de guardia, frente a la Citadelle Souterraine de Verdún, el visitante descubre una museografía que da testimonio de la vida cotidiana de los soldados siguiendo la trayectoria de Michel Dupré, dibujante de Mayenne que se alistó en agosto de 1914, y la de Pierre Brancher, fotógrafo del mismo regimiento. Se expone la colección privada de Camille Tridon: dibujos, fotografías, objetos y trajes de Poilus.
En el lugar, una tienda de militaria y el restaurante La Cantine des Poilus.
