Situé dans l'ancien poste de garde juste en face de la Citadelle Souterraine de Verdun, les visiteurs découvrent une muséographie qui témoigne du quotidien des soldats en suivant le parcours de Michel Dupré, dessinateur mayennais engagé dès août 1914, et celui de Pierre Brancher, photographe dans le même régiment. Mise en scène de la collection privée de Camille Tridon : dessins, photographies, objets et costumes de Poilus.
Sur place, une boutique de militaria et le restaurant La Cantine des Poilus.
