In het voormalige wachthuis tegenover de Citadelle Souterraine in Verdun ontdekt de bezoeker een museografie die getuigt van het dagelijkse leven van de soldaten door de loopbaan te volgen van Michel Dupré, een tekenaar uit Mayenne die in augustus 1914 in het leger ging, en van Pierre Brancher, een fotograaf in hetzelfde regiment. De privécollectie van Camille Tridon wordt tentoongesteld: tekeningen, foto's, voorwerpen en kostuums van Poilus.
Ter plaatse, een militariawinkel en het restaurant La Cantine des Poilus.
