Calvario erigido "en devoción a Jacques Riandet y Gabrielle Pitollet, su esposa". La familia Riandet es típicamente de Aubigny, al igual que la familia Pittolet. A Jacques le apodaban "el más joven" porque su tío "el mayor" y su padre "el más joven" también se llamaban Jacques, ¡y todos eran viticultores en Aubigny! La pareja se casó en Montsaugeon, la ciudad condal durante la Revolución Francesa, el 10 de Pluviôse, Año VII de la República Francesa, Una e Indivisible (29 de enero de 1799). Es probable que este calvario se construyera después del Concordato, acuerdo firmado el 26 de Messidor An IX (15 de julio de 1801) por el 1er Cónsul Bonaparte y el Papa Pío VII para el restablecimiento de la religión católica, apostólica y romana en Francia.
