Los jesuitas se instalaron por primera vez en los edificios del antiguo Colegio de Quercy (siglo XVI). Modificaron la antigua capilla de Saint-Michel-des-Pauvres, que ahora dedicaron a Ignacio de Loyola, el fundador de la orden, y confiaron la creación de su decoración pintada a dos jesuitas: François Blanc y Jean Planchette.
Los jesuitas hicieron construir dos imponentes edificios, en cuyo cruce había una gran escalera de tramos rectos. En el centro del edificio, la Sala de Declamación tiene un notable techo francés.
En 1676, se encargó al arquitecto Antoine Chassagnard la construcción del campanario de estilo tolosano que domina el colegio.
