Este es el nombre del río responsable de la captura del Mosela hace 300.000 años. Situado cerca de Villey-Saint-Etienne, el Terrouin es un Espacio Natural Sensible gestionado por el Consejo Departamental de Meurthe-et-Moselle. Este valle de 30 km de largo alberga una gran variedad de entornos naturales: humedales, antiguas canteras, praderas calcáreas, fosas, etc., cada uno de los cuales constituye un refugio especial para numerosas especies animales y vegetales. Desde la granja de Renard Moulin, en el municipio de Trondes, hasta su confluencia con el Mosela en Villey St Etienne, el Terrouin serpentea por un estrecho valle de 24 kilómetros. Los municipios afectados son Trondes, Lagney, Sanzey, Ménil la Tour, Andilly, Manoncourt en Woëvre, Avrainville, Jaillon y Villey St Etienne
