El edificio fue construido durante la reconstrucción de la ciudad después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, durante la cual fue destruido el edificio Ponts et Chaussées.
Además del edificio administrativo, el recinto incluye talleres de calderería, pintura, arenado, albañilería, electricidad, tienda y zonas de almacenamiento de boyas , así como de sus cadenas y amarres.
También hay algunas boyas de la generación anterior.
