L'edifici va ser construït durant la reconstrucció de la ciutat després de la Segona Guerra Mundial, durant la qual va ser destruït l'edifici Ponts et Chaussées.
A més de l' edifici administratiu, el recinte inclou tallers de caldereria, pintura, sorra, paleta, electricitat, botiga i zones d'emmagatzematge de boies , així com de les seves cadenes i amarratges.
També hi ha algunes boies de la generació anterior.
