The building was constructed during the reconstruction of the city after the Second World War, during which the Ponts et Chaussées building was destroyed.
In addition to the administrative building, the site includes boiler making, painting, sandblasting, masonry, electrical workshops, a shop and storage areas for buoys , as well as their chains and moorings.
There are also some buoys from the older generation.
