La iglesia de San Remi está situada, en la calle de la iglesia, en Charleville-Mézières, en el departamento de Ardenas. Un primer proyecto de Gautiez en estilo neogótico, inicialmente aprobado por el comité de inspectores generales en 1856, fue finalmente rechazado. Es en los años 1860 cuando se construye la iglesia de San Remi, según los planos del arquitecto diocesano Jean François Racine, en el lugar de la antigua capilla del gran priorato de la milicia cristiana, fundada por Carlos de Gonzaga y su esposa. El edificio, de estilo neorrománico, se termina en 1863.
