El busto de Louis Laurenti ocupa un lugar destacado en la Place Ardoïno , justo enfrente del Ayuntamiento de Menton.
El monumento se erigió en 1919 , poco después de su muerte. El busto fue creado por el escultor letón Léopold Bernstamm , quien se estableció en Menton en 1914. Se alza sobre un pedestal rodeado de vegetación, sirviendo como punto focal en el complejo de forma cuadrada entre la calle Honorine y el ayuntamiento. El monumento ilustra las ambiciones de la Belle Époque de Menton bajo el liderazgo de Laurenti.
Louis Laurenti (1841-1916) fue alcalde de Menton entre 1885 y 1896 y desempeñó un papel fundamental en la renovación urbana de ese período. Se le describe como administrador y benefactor de la ciudad , contribuyendo a su prestigio e infraestructura.
