Louis Laurenti (1841-1916) va ser alcalde de Menton entre 1885 i 1896 i va exercir un paper fonamental en la renovació urbana d'aquest període. Se'l descriu com a administrador i benefactor de la ciutat , contribuint al seu prestigi i infraestructura.
