La estación de Hythe es el terminal norte del Ferrocarril de Romney, Hythe y Dymchurch. La estación tiene andenes curvados, una vía de liberación de locomotoras, un antiguo cobertizo de locomotoras, una caseta de señalización con un marco de 16 palancas y una mesa giratoria. En términos de reservas de pasajeros, Hythe es la estación más ocupada del ferrocarril.
Adyacente a la estación, la antigua casa del jefe de estación es ahora una residencia privada. Situado entre la estación y el Canal Militar Real se encuentra el restaurante The Light Railway, que fue construido originalmente por la compañía ferroviaria pero se vendió antes de que estuviera completado. Finalmente, fue recomprado por el ferrocarril en febrero de 2015.
