Se encuentra junto al Nevern, un pequeño río que fluye hacia el norte hacia la bahía de Newport y la prominencia terrestre Dinas Island, que es accesible a través del Camino de la Costa de Pembrokeshire. A dos kilómetros al este se encuentra la tumba portal Carreg Coetan Arthur y un poco más allá se halla el fuerte Berry Hill. Las descripciones antiguas mencionan una serie de menhires que rodeaban el sitio.
Cerrig y Gof consiste en cinco cámaras individuales dispuestas en forma de anillo. Esta forma de múltiples cámaras es única en Pembrokeshire. El único homólogo que tiene Cerrig y Gof se encuentra en el sitio de Mull Hill en la Isla de Man, donde seis cámaras están dispuestas en círculo.
