Glencoe, a orillas del Loch Leven, lleva ahora una existencia pacífica. Pero no siempre fue así. Durante el invierno del año 1692, Glencoe fue el escenario de una verdadera carnicería. Sedientos de sangre, miembros del clan Campbell masacraron a todos los hombres del clan MacDonald para castigarles por la timidez de su juramento hacia el rey Guillermo III.
