Aquí, donde terminan las montañas de carbonato y comienza la fértil “Llano de Argos”, grandes cantidades de agua, provenientes de vías de agua subterráneas, emergen de un gran manantial kárstico. El agua kárstica corre por el río Erasinos (en la antigüedad un dios río[3]) hacia el mar hasta el Golfo Argólico en el pueblo de Nea Kios. La salida del manantial Kefalari está enmarcada por muros y filas de árboles de Platanus. La iglesia ortodoxa dedicada a la “Santísima Virgen María” se ubica sobre el manantial kárstico de Kefalari “Zoodochos Pigi”
