El anfiteatro romano era un edificio monumental de la antigua Benevento. Las fuentes históricas sugieren que existió en el año 63, ya que Nerón asistió a un espectáculo de gladiadores en la ciudad. Los restos del edificio fueron descubiertos en 1985 entre la vía Munazio Planco y el puente Leproso. Parte del edificio está enterrada bajo las vías del ferrocarril Benevento-Cancello.
