El monasterio de Marienthal es un antiguo monasterio en el Eisch en Marienthal, que fue fundado en el siglo XIII por dominicas de Estrasburgo.
Al principio era un monasterio pobre, pero eso cambió cuando en 1258 Yolanda de Vianden se convirtió en priora del monasterio. A través de diversas donaciones de los condes de Vianden a Luxemburgo, Marienthal experimentó un auge. Yolanda hizo que se estableciera una biblioteca y promovió la vida económica y cultural del monasterio. Bajo su dirección también se construyó la iglesia monástica gótica de cinco naves, de 50 metros de largo y 35 metros de ancho, que hoy ya no existe. Después de su muerte en 1283, Yolanda fue enterrada detrás del altar de la iglesia.
