La Poelestraat en Groningen va de la Grote Markt a la Diepenring. Originalmente era sobre todo una calle comercial, hoy en día es uno de los principales centros de ocio de Groningen.
La calle existía en la Edad Media - entonces como Polstraat - desde Hondsrug hasta los prados en el lecho del Hunze. 'Pol': tierras elevadas, también conocidas como wierde. En excavaciones en 1989 se encontraron pavimentos de caminos desde el siglo XI. La calle se menciona por primera vez en 1325.
