La Poelestraat a Groninga va dalla Grote Markt al Diepenring. Originariamente era soprattutto una strada commerciale, oggi è uno dei principali centri di svago di Groninga.
La strada correva nel medioevo - allora chiamata Polstraat - dalla Hondsrug ai campi situati nel letto dell'Hunze. 'Pol': terreni elevati, conosciuti anche come wierde. Durante gli scavi del 1989 sono state trovate pavimentazioni stradali risalenti all'11° secolo. La strada viene menzionata per la prima volta nel 1325.
