Esta estación de tren en Hoek van Holland fue inaugurada el 1 de junio de 1893. Estaba situada aproximadamente 700 metros al oeste de la estación Hoek van Holland Haven. Debido a la construcción de la Maasvlakte, la línea de costa se trasladó más hacia el mar en 1971 que cuando se inauguró la estación, por lo que después la estación ya no estaba cerca de la playa, sino a más de un kilómetro de distancia.
